Job Title: Lifeguard

Location: Camp Jotoni | Warren, NJ

Education: HS Diploma or GED required

Job Description:

Check chemical levels daily & record in log for Full Time Maintenance Staff.
Perform daily tasks (trash, daily clean up of pool supplies and toys, etc.).
Monitor pool for camper/staff safety .
Keep pool area clean and well maintained – regular tidying & upkeep of pool area
Follow through on consistent enforcement of appropriate rules and regulations.
Maintain sufficient water safety equipment (backboards, rescue tubes, etc.).
Regular skills/emergency action refresher sessions with lifeguards.
Willingness and flexibility to cheerfully perform tasks and duties beyond those typically assigned.
Self-motivated to look for ways to engage with campers.
Understanding of and support for Camp policies, mission, and summer program goals.
The employee must cooperate with the Licensee and Department staff in any inspection or investigation.
Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor or as required by the nature of the position.

Vaccination Requirements: Candidate must be able to provide proof of vaccination pursuant to Executive order 290.
